Hunkered in Nebraska: Riding Out the Storm. Sometimes there are influences that are completely out of our control… like weather. We make the decision to ride out this nasty little storm front while hunkered with other campers and truckers at Walmart. There are some odd moments, some learning curves, but a smooth night before continuing west.

Into the Storm: Driving Across Nebraska in Summer. While we were making our way from Missouri across the upper Great Plains, we knew there was a chance of nasty weather. After the sun had set, the lightning on the horizon became obvious. Now we had to decide how our timing looked: were we going to pass this storm front without issue or were we heading straight into it? And what do you do when you’re in an RV or towing a travel trailer while facing severe weather?
