The majority of visitors come for the sun and atmosphere, but fewer people know the quirky, challenging, and funny history of Key West. We explore the story of how the Conch Republic came to be before sailing back to our home port.

Misadventures in Florida Sailing: When the Boat Bumps its Way to Anna Marie Island, Venice, and Boca Grande Pass. How do you know when you had a “close one” in a sailboat? You bump your way over a new shallow area but you don't stop! Whew! We loved this section of the Gulf Coast while having a friend visit. That said, we were ready to relax after feeling the ocean floor under Moon Dragon. So in contrast, we sail through the deepest pass on the Florida Gulf Coast!

Launching a Sailboat, a Woman, and an Adventure: Look Out Florida! Well, here we go: Moon Dragon is on her way, Cristen is finally dry, and the family is watching for dolphins as we make our way into Charlotte Harbor and embark on this new adventure.
